The concept of ROffice started with an advisor, that had a great assistant, but did not have enough work to give her. A close colleague of the advisor shared with him that other advisors in their firm were in need of assistance because they felt they were getting bogged down with too much paperwork. The problem was that those advisors did not have enough work to justify hiring a full-time assistant, nor the time to train a new employee.
The close colleague, Andrew J. Evans, Founder of Office, knew that his advisor friend, Christopher Marsico, CFO of ROffice, had an assistant with some spare time in her workday, so he asked Christopher and his assistant if she wanted to share her skills with other advisors at the firm. This simple idea seemed to solve a common problem financial advisors face: They need support, but finding the right people with the right availability can be daunting.
Andrew J. Evans then shared his idea with other financial professionals, began growing a network, and then developing a platform to serve as a portal to connect financial advisors with experienced service providers in the industry.
At ROffice, we believe that getting work done, and finding skilled people to do it, should not be so complicated. We feel that if advisors can see the industry specific talent that is available, then it could open up more opportunities to grow their business, get tasks completed more efficiently, and stay focused on their clients.
We also believe that if you’re great at a specific type of work in the Financial Services space, then sharing your skills could be a fruitful source of income for you as a service provider. Along with the benefits of a flexible schedule and the freedom to work on task that you choose.
ROffice is the bridge between the need to get work done, and the people who want to do the work!
